Williams School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court, Trial Advocacy, and Client Counseling boards. While in law school, Ms. Geissler was awarded Best Oralist for the Chicago Bar Association National Moot Court Competition, Order of the Barrister, The Virginia Trial Lawyer's Association Student Trial Advocate Award, and a Virginia Law Foundation Grant for her public interest work. Additionally, she was the Regional Finalist in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association competition, a Carrico Moot Court Finalist, Trial Advocacy Board Competition Champion, and Client Counseling Competition Champion. Ms. Geissler also worked with the Richmond Legal Aid Domestic Violence Project. Ms. Geissler began her work in the court room while in law school where she interned as a prosecutor in the Richmond office for the Eastern District of Virginia U.S. Attorney's office. She also prosecuted in the Richmond Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court during her third year of law school. After law school, Ms. Geissler worked at the Department of Justice in the Office of the Assistant Attorney General over the Office of Justice Programs as well as in the Civil Rights Division. Prior to joining Colten, Cummins, Watson and Vincent P.C., Ms. Geissler worked as a family law associate in Old Town Alexandria. Ms. Geissler obtained a bachelor of arts in theatre from the College of William and Mary where she was active in the theatre as an actor, technician, and actor combatant. Ms. Geissler is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a Guardian ad Litem certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia. Ms. Geissler focuses her practice on domestic relations.
