Ms. Vincent is a 1989 graduate of the American University, Washington College of Law. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education from North Carolina A&T State University and Howard University, respectively. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Vincent was an educator in the Fairfax County Public School System. Prior to co-founding Colten Cummins Watson & Vincent P.C., Ms. Vincent was an associate with Hazel & Thomas, P.C. and a Principal at Surovell, Jackson, Colten & Dugan, P.C. She was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Leonie M. Brinkema, Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Ms. Vincent is an active member of several Bar Associations. She has served as a member of the Virginia State Bar Fifth District Disciplinary Committee, having served both as its Chairperson and Subcommittee Vice-Chairperson. She also served as a member of the Virginia State Bar Professionalism Course Faculty. Ms. Vincent is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association, having served on its Judicial Screening Committee, Circuit Court Committee, and Membership Committee. She also serves as a Commissioner in Chancery to the Fairfax County Circuit Court. She is a former President of the Virginia Commission on Women and Minorities in the Legal System. She has served as President of the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association and board member of the Old Dominion Bar Association. In addition to the Virginia State Bar, Ms. Vincent is also a member of the District of Columbia Bar.

Ms. Vincent practices primarily in the area of Family Law. She has been recognized as one of the top divorce and family lawyers in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Area by Washingtonian Magazine and has been listed in both the Virginia and Washington DC Super Lawyers publications. She also has received Martindale Hubbell's top attorney rating of AV.

At the invitation of the Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court, Ms. Vincent served as a member of the Commission on Virginia Courts in the 21 Century: To Benefit All, To Exclude None, which is designed to study the future of Virginia's judicial system. She is also the recipient of the American University Washington College of Law 2006 Women and the Law Leadership Award and keynote speaker at the Women and the Law Leadership Luncheon. In 2008, Ms. Vincent was appointed by the Chief Justice of Virginia Supreme Court to serve a three year term as a member at-large of the Virginia State Bar Council, the governing body of the mandatory State Bar. Ms. Vincent was also featured in the 2008 Virginia Super Lawyers magazine.
