Ms. Joffe received her law degree in 2001 from The Washington College of Law, American University in Washington, D.C., where she was an active member of the Women and the Law Clinic and the Women’s Law Association. Ms. Joffe received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Ohio State University. Ms. Joffe is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Prior to joining Colten Cummins Watson & Vincent P.C. in 2003, Ms. Joffe clerked for the Honorable Jane Marum Roush on the Fairfax County Circuit Court and for the Honorable Katherine D. Savage on the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville, Maryland. Ms. Joffe is an active member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar Association, the Fairfax County Bar Association, the George Mason American Inn of Court, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.

Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Joffe had a distinguished career with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Serving in the Fairfax County Office of Probation and Parole, Ms. Joffe initiated and managed the nationally recognized Recidivist Prevention Program and served as coordinator of the District’s Women’s Task Force. Ms. Joffe conducted investigations for Courts and provided family, marriage, individual, and substance abuse counseling. Her longstanding relationships in the community enabled her to effectively coordinate community resources on behalf of clients. Among her awards and recognitions, Ms. Joffe was honored as the Commonwealth of Virginia’s “Probation Officer of the Year” and was a recipient of District 29's “Exceptional Performance Award.”

Ms. Joffe is a member of the board of Temporary Emergency Residential Resource Institute for Families in Crisis, Inc. (TERRIFIC, INC.) In Washington, D.C. TERRIFIC, INC., featured on NBC’s 48 Hours news program, is a private non-profit organization that provides counseling services and outreach programs for families.

Along with her husband, Richard Mazie, Ms. Joffe is an active member of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). NCCJ is a human relations organization dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in America. The National Conference promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution and education.
