Commercial and Civil Litigation Commercial and Civil Litigation

Our representation of commercial clients involves the prosecution or defense of our client's rights. The issues range from conflicts arising under securities statutes, employment statutes, consumer laws, truth in lending statutes, contract litigation, the enforcement of business agreements, injuries arising in the work place, conflicts between landlords and tenants, and the construction and enforcement of leases. We have prosecuted and defended against fraud claims and other business torts. We are often called upon to collect an account or enforce or defend against a contract on behalf of our commercial clients.

CCWV's attorneys are all experienced litigators. We provide a broad range of litigation services to the individual and are equally qualified to prosecute and defend civil claims. In addition to cases pertaining to family law, negligence and malpractice, which are discussed in separate segments, we can assist individual clients to enforce or defend against claims involving the redress of private wrongs, the collection of debts, the enforcement of judgments, damages to real and personal property, recovery of property wrongfully detained, eminent domain, recovery of damages for libel and slander, employment disputes and other personal actions.

Civil litigation is a challenging field of legal practice and requires of an attorney not only a firm grasp of applicable law and procedure but also a high degree of self-assurance and courtroom presence, whether the matter is tried to a jury or before a trial judge. Our litigators have had many years of courtroom experience and are highly qualified to represent the client's interests in the judicial system.

Attorneys in our practice offer representation in commercial and civil litigation in the federal and state courts in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
